July 26-30 in Atlanta, GAIf every ASCP and American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science member gives $1 to the ASCP-ASCLS Japan Relief fund, medical technology schools in Japan could receive more than $100,000 in much-needed rebuilding resources. - - -
Initial reports out of Japan indicate that it will take at least four months for one medical technology school to recover from damage incurred by the tsunami. Two schools are assessing the impact of earthquake damage. Communications between schools and students is severely limited in some areas.
